Why this is on a design portfolio
Mixing is interface work. A track has hierarchy, where one thing leads and everything else supports, and the mix either makes that hierarchy legible or it doesn't. Arrangement is information architecture on a timeline: what the listener needs first, what can wait, what should never appear twice. Knowing when a track is finished is harder than either, because nothing forces you to stop. That last judgment is the one I use most at a screen.
